RELATION OF JP TO ERA-NET AND OTHER COOERDINATION INSTRUMENTS

Due to the fact that we have to date no ongoing JPIs it is difficult to assess the relation of JPIs to ERA-NETs.

It could be useful to use ERA-NETs as a precursor of a JPI, since in both cases Member States pool national resources in a European context.

Through ERA-NETs, actors in Member States become familiar with each other and can define common interests.
