Strategic Analysis
The analytical approach of NETWATCH seeks to map, monitor and assess aspects of transnational collaboration in research, currently centred on network activities. NETWATCH analysis aims to provide support to the EU policy debate and Member States in their efforts to formulate and implement strategies for their participation in Networks and other transnational collaboration activities.
Three main types of analysis are currently undertaken:
Mapping and MonitoringThis consists of descriptive analysis of the transnational R&D collaboration landscape based on information collected through and presented on the NETWATCH platform. |
Policy BriefsFocusing on selected issues, NETWATCH policy briefs contribute to the current European policy debate on transnational cooperation in R&D. |
Impact AssessmentGoing beyond the descriptive analysis of mapping and monitoring, NETWATCH impact assessment provides ex post assessment on the impact of EU activities to support transnational R&D programme collaboration and coordination. |
