What is the ERA-NET scheme?

The ERA-NET scheme (link to glossary 'ERA-NETs') was launched as part of FP6 to step up the transnational cooperation of research activities. It is carried out at national or regional level. In FP7 its objective is to contribute to the development of the European Research Area (ERA) and the competitiveness of European R&D.

What is ERA-LEARN?

It is one of the services provided by NETWATCH.

ERA-LEARN is a consortium of national agencies with significant experience in ERA-NETs. It carries out a systematic investigation of experiences and acquired know-how. It 's perspective is to identify good examples and to develop a set of recommended procedures for the implementation of ERA-NETs.

ERA-LEARN provides the following tools

  • A tools for call implementation
  • Tools for internal review of ERA-NET participation
  • Coming up: a section about Smart Coordination of ERA-NETs.

ERA-LEARN's examines the complementarities and synergies of the ERA-NET instrument with the other existing schemes and programmes.

Who is providing NETWATCH?

NETWATCH belongs to the Joint Research Centre Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (JRC-IPTS) in collaboration with DG RTD Directorate B.

What other services does the IPTS offer me?

NETWATCH is developed in close cooperation with ERAWATCH - a product of the JRC-IPTS.
What are the future developments for NETWATCH?

NETWATCH will eventually offer an interactive space for mutual learning among programme actors such as national and regional programme managers and/or owners through contact databases, a discussion forum and good practice examples.
